About This Print
From the Birds of America Collection. Audubon took a special trip to Cuba in 1838 to find and draw a flamingo after a prolonged effort to gather a specimen in Florida. The spotting on the flamingo's feathers is caused by the drying of the egg white that was applied over the water colour. We think it adds character to this 180+ year-old water color!

*For a matted appearance and to fit standard frame sizes, the white border featured in this image will also be part of the final product*
